After graduated from University of Science and Technology of China in 1986, Dr. Liu enrolled in the Biochemistry graduate program at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and received his master degree in Biochemistry. He spent the next few years conducting research in CNTF (ciliary neurotrophic factor) at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. After graduating from New York University of Medicine in 1997, where he was elected to AOA medical honor society, he came to Boston for his internal medicine training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Harvard Medical School. After three years as primary care attending physician at Boston Medical Center, he opened up his current office in 2003 to pursuit his interest of combining Western and Eastern medicine to best serve our patients.
He specializes in treating work-up negative diseases: persistent symptoms despite multiple negative work-up of MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Nerve-Conduction Study and other studies, Medical acupuncture has been a nice complimentary treatment modality to help those patients.
